JOB DESCRIPTION WAREHOUSE MANAGER - Full-Time The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management of stored goods, as well as the preparation of product for delivery to retail store locations. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management of warehouse staff and daily task completion and completes other tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to: - Directs and oversees receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes for corporate distribution center.
- Serves as a collaborator and innovator alongside the COO and Director of Retail (DoR).
- Takes an approach to connecting and communicating with others that is comfortable and authentic.
- Transfers inventory for loading in a timely manner according to the prescribed schedule.
- Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between locations.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
- Receives, organizes, and records new inventory as it is delivered.
- Replenishes stock and inventory as needed and/or directed.
- Manages, and delegates to, warehouse and eCommerce-dedicated employees.
- Upholds all company policies and practices.
- Performs/completes other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (required for candidates to be considered)
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or retail distribution/warehouse center as a shift supervisor or higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience with Lean/Six Sigma practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local and company safety policies.
- Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to continuously to stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, utilize fine finger movement (i.e. keyboard operating, writing, etc.) and tactile/touch to assist with products/customers/registers/equipment/etc., and grasping/gripping/holding with hands and/or fingers.
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
- Must be able to frequently drive and/or travel, sit/remain in a seated position during job performance, climb/work at heights (i.e. step ladders, ladders, etc.), kneel and squat, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and reach overhead with arms raised above shoulder height/forward reaching, balance on uneven surfaces/ground, and bend at the waist.
- Must be able to continuously communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, either in-person or over the phone, including speaking, hearing, and sight in order to assist vendors and coworkers.
- While working, this position may be exposed to tolerance of noise from products and environments, tolerance of smells/scents of products (i.e. candles, potpourri, lotions, etc.), exposure to dust, dirt, grease, chemicals, exhaust (delivery trucks), inclement weather, hot and/or cold temperatures due to warehouse environment.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS This is a regular, full-time, salaried position that is deemed "exempt" by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
