We are a feline only veterinary clinic on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in search of an experienced veterinary technician. The ideal candidate would be a strong technician who is comfortable and confident handling cats of all attitudes; a leader, and a self starter. We are a small family practice and want someone who wants to build relationships with our clients and their pets.
The candidate should have experience in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. This includes triage and assessment of sick patients; IV catheter placement; digital x-rays; dental cleaning using a high speed ultrasonic scaler and polisher; preparing animals for, and assisting in surgery; anesthesia monitoring; post-op recovery of patients; supervision of hospitalized patients and administration of medications; phlebotomy as well as many other standard medical procedures.
Hours are Monday-Friday 8-4 with rotating holidays. An occasional weekend day may be needed.
