ECS is seeking a SME - Information Security Analyst to work in our Lanham, MD office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Information Security Analyst to join our team. This position requires an individual with extensive experience and expertise in the information security domain to provide strategic leadership, expert guidance, and technical solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for shaping security policies, defining best practices, managing high-level security projects, and consulting across the organization on complex security-related challenges.

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of information security, advising leadership and internal teams on security strategy, technologies, and best practices.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of security frameworks, policies, and controls across the organization.
• Provide expert guidance and consultative support to technical teams on complex security issues, risk assessments, and security solutions.
• Oversee and direct high-level security initiatives, ensuring the implementation of industry-leading practices and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead the identification, analysis, and remediation of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Direct the creation and management of advanced incident response protocols, ensuring rapid containment and resolution of security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and others.
• Develop and oversee advanced security training programs and resources to elevate security knowledge across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to promote a security-conscious culture and implement enterprise-wide security solutions.

• 10+ years of professional experience in information security, with a focus on enterprise-level security management, risk mitigation, and compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in security protocols, technologies, and methodologies including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
• Proven experience with risk assessment, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and the creation of effective security mitigation strategies
• Strong leadership capabilities, with experience mentoring and guiding junior analysts and technical teams to elevate security practices.
• Expertise in securing cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient security architectures for complex environments.
• Experience in creating long-term security strategies that align with business objectives, addressing both current and future security needs.
