About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people's health by making it easy to eat well. More than half of Americans have a chronic condition related to what they eat, and poor nutrition is the number one driver of preventable death.

Nourish is addressing this healthcare crisis by helping people eat better, more easily, with our food as medicine platform. We connect people with a telehealth Registered Dietitian, food, and mobile app to improve their nutrition, all covered by health insurance. The Nourish mobile app provides a comprehensive approach to wellness through personalized visits with Registered Dietitians, medically-tailored meal delivery, health progress tracking, personalized content, meal logging, recipes / meal planning, AI chat, and more.

We launched two years ago and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform. Our patients span a wide range of nutrition-related conditions including diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, GI conditions, cancer, obesity / weight management, cardiovascular disease, and more. We are live in all 50 states.

We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised over $44M from top-tier VCs including Index Ventures, Thrive Capital, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, and Box Group, amongst others. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As our first Senior Tech Recruiter , you'll partner closely with our co-founder & CTO and will be responsible for attracting and acquiring top tech talent. You'll hire across our engineering, product, and design teams and should be experienced with hiring for all levels from early career to VP.

This is a full-cycle recruiting role with total ownership across sourcing, screening, and candidate / pipeline management for mission-critical positions. You'll report to our Head of People & Talent (Aidan, cofounder & CEO in the interim) and will be directly responsible for growing our tech team quickly while maintaining an extremely high bar which will require creative thinking and partnering across the business. This is an exciting opportunity with high exposure, visibility, and business partnering!

This role is full-time out of our NYC office with hybrid flexibility.

• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle end-to-end for all engineering, product, & design openings (sourcing, screening, scheduling and everything in-between).
• Partner with CTO, functional leaders, and greater EPD team to understand hiring needs and execute effective recruiting processes.
• Provide a stellar candidate experience that is transparent, considerate, and timely.
• Proactively attract and engage world-class talent through various strategies (active and passive sourcing campaigns, job boards, conferences, social media, employee networks, outside agencies, internal hires, etc).
• Continuously strengthen the Nourish employer brand & hiring process. Our success depends on how well we hire and you'll introduce new ideas, best practices, influence the business to set a gold standard for talent acquisition.

• You're deeply passionate about building exceptional teams and advocating for all parties in a hiring process.
• You enjoy every part of the hiring process , from sourcing to signing, and love having end-to-end ownership. You have a headhunter mindset - you go find the best talent; you don't wait for it to come to you.
• You're energized by partnering cross-functionally and driving business outcomes. You will be working closely with a wide range of people on the team.
• You're data-driven and analytical. You have a strong understanding of recruiting metrics, hold yourself to hiring goals, have great business sense, and can communicate the results of your efforts effectively.
• You want to hustle. You're scrappy and comfortable with the ambiguity of early stage startups and want to work hard.
• You're passionate about Nourish's mission. You believe in the power of nutrition to transform healthcare and are excited to be at the forefront of this change.

• You have 5+ years of recruiting experience with 2+ of those years specifically within tech recruiting.
• You're experienced in owning the entire recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to signing.
• You have a headhunter mentality to find and land best-in-class talent.
• You've worked at an early-stage tech startup that has experienced fast growth.
• You have a strong command of candidate sourcing using LinkedIn and other creative resources; you're able to generate leads and referrals from your efforts, conversations, and creative skills.
• You're data, systems & process oriented , with an expertise in leading TA tools (Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, GoodTime, etc).
• You exhibit extreme attention to detail, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You feel personally connected to Nourish's mission and are excited by the opportunity to help people live longer, healthier lives.
