PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT POSITION 3 NIGHTS A WEEK WITH A MAXIMUM OF 3 HOURS A NIGHT! Job Summary:
The Overnight Rover/Parking Enforcement Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of designated properties during night hours. The officer will patrol multiple locations, enforce parking regulations, and provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities. This position requires individuals to be observant, proactive, and able to handle security incidents calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Duties:
- Conduct frequent and random vehicle and foot patrols across assigned properties (commercial, residential, or mixed-use).
- Respond to any alarms, security breaches, or suspicious activities and provide immediate assistance.
- Parking Enforcement:
- Monitor parking areas to ensure vehicles are parked in designated spaces and comply with property parking regulations.
- Issue warnings, citations, or arrange for towing of vehicles violating parking rules.
- Maintain accurate logs of violations, citations, and other enforcement actions taken during the shift.
- Incident Reporting:
- Report any suspicious activity, damage, or security concerns to the appropriate authorities or management.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and parking enforcement logs.
- Communicate and escalate any serious issues to the Security Supervisor or local law enforcement as needed.
- Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and direction to tenants, employees, and visitors when necessary.
- Respond to customer inquiries about parking regulations or security concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergencies, such as accidents, medical incidents, or fire alarms, according to company protocols.
- Assist first responders and emergency personnel as needed.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid FL drivers license with a clean driving record is required.
- Valid security guard D license is required.
- Must be at least 25 years old for this position.
- Previous experience in security, parking enforcement, or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent communication and observation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and logging incidents.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.
- Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
