Position: 1040 Processor/Tax Preparer

•CFS is partnering with an established accounting firm in South Bend, Indiana, that is seeking a Tax Preparer to assist with processing individual tax returns during the upcoming tax season.

•The firm boasts a tight-knit, supportive team that fosters collaboration and enjoys a positive and professional work environment. Overview of the 1040 Processor/Tax Preparer Responsibilities:
•File, scan, and organize client documents efficiently.
•Perform data entry and consolidation tasks to prepare for tax return processing.
•Communicate with clients to request missing or necessary documentation for accurate tax filings.
•Prepare and process individual tax returns (1040 forms) electronically in a timely manner. Preferred Qualifications for the 1040 Processor/Tax Preparer:
•Minimum of two years of experience in data entry and tax preparation.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
•Familiarity with UltraTax and SurePrep is preferred.
•Strong communication and organizational skills to manage tasks effectively and interact with clients. Salary: $41,600.00 to $54,500.00 depending on experience
