Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the highest quality standards. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, set and operation of a quality lab, and managing a team of quality control technicians. The Quality Manager will partner with Quality Technicians to translate customer feedback into operational changes to drive higher levels of performance. Rejecting products that fail quality standards and driving data collection efforts to drive improvement. Evaluating product returns. Assisting in waste and scrap reduction projects. Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for leading and ensuring the safe operations of all aspects of the quality process to include plant and lab safety and the safety of all department and plant employees.

• Responsible and accountable for meeting internal and customer specifications, as well as documenting and certifying that product shipped meets applicable requirements.
• Ensure the completion and communication of required testing from all stages of production, including raw materials.
• Responsible for quality personnel and ensuring proper training of any personnel that will be involved in sampling and testing.· Ensure the accuracy of all equipment used in the quality control and assurance functions.
• Coordinate with other plant departments for continuous improvement in procedures, materials, testing schedules, and equipment.
• Coordinate with the sales representatives for continuous improvements in products, or work in developing new product lines.· Control further processing/delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.· Properly resolve and investigate customer concerns and complaints.
• Assist with the internal audit system ISO9001
• Perform all other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. degree in technical area or minimum of 5 years related experience in quality management.· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality auditing.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving skills (5Phase, 7Step, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)· Excellent organizational and computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• APQP, PPAP, and FMEA processes
• Knowledge of Minitab and/or SharePoint a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient math skills required
• Strong leadership skills, ability to work through and influence others
