Your Role: As an Product Sales Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our sales efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute sales activities and strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration within the architecture and design sector
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through cold calling and lead generation activities as well as provide customer assistance and on-line support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing personalized support and addressing their needs and concerns in a timely manner
  • Conduct virtual lunch-and-learn sessions and arrange product sampling opportunities to educate architectural firms, design studios and construction professionals on the features, benefits and applications of our products
  • Act as a trusted advisor to architects, designers and other stakeholders, providing technical guidance and product recommendations to support project requirements
  • Manage the administration of customer accounts, including preparation of project bids, quotes and invoices for customers
  • Develop and maintain expertise in our product offerings, including specifications, performance characteristics, installation and applications relevant to client needs and actively participate in ongoing learning opportunities
  • Maintain ongoing and detailed documentation of sales activity and customer contacts in CRM on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports and collect feedback from customers and key industry contacts to share with management for updates and strategic planning purposes
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional organizations to network, build relationships and enhance product visibility
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Wall Theory team

Qualifications Required: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, architecture, interior design, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience directly associated with the building products industry, preferably with a focus on architecture and design clients
  • Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and architectural trends is a plus
  • A demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets coupled with a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business success and closing the sale
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with potential & existing clients and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate product value propositions and overcome objections
  • Excellent communication, persuasion abilities, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas to diverse audiences, the confidence to engage with clients at all levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills displayed through professional interactions over phone, email, and video conferencing
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills; good at trouble shooting and figuring out how to source answers to problems
  • Able to self-manage and work independently and in an off-site work environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Eager to learn and embrace new tools and technology
