Job Description

PIPEFITTER/PLUMBER

As a Pipefitter/Plumber, the job is working in our fabrication shop. You will assist with the fabrication of various plumbing and piping systems that will be installed on commercial and / or industrial construction sites.

Job Duties

  • Assist with the fabrication of plumbing/piping materials in accordance with blueprints and specifications
  • Once properly trained, use of hand tools and power tools including a pipe plasma cutter, treading machine and pipe cutter to prefabricate assemblies in accordance to shop drawings.
  • Assists with commercial and industrial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale construction projects such as healthcare, government, educations, manufacturing and others
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials
  • Assists with the installation of chilled, hot and steam piping
  • Assist with the installation of valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside HVAC piping systems
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and rigging
  • Able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed)
  • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to perform routine measurements and calculations. Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and decimals

  • Ability to pass MVR check and physical ability assessment
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects

Compensation

Wage Range Starting at: $16/hr. based on qualifications & experience

Schedule

Monday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm (schedule may change for different seasons)
