Job Description: Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented PLC Programmer to design, program, test, and maintain PLC systems in an industrial automation environment within the plastics industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in PLC programming and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes specific to plastics production. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and technicians to ensure reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop PLC programs based on project specifications for plastics manufacturing processes. Design and implement control systems for automated machinery in the plastics industry. Configure and troubleshoot PLC hardware and software components specific to production lines. Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other equipment. Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for plastics processing equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of PLC programs, configurations, and modifications. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automation for plastics manufacturing. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram. Experience with PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric used in plastics manufacturing. Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in manufacturing environments. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment within the plastics industry. Experience using Raspberry Pi for automation or control applications.
