About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and personable Physiatrist / PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) physician to join a rapidly expanding healthcare team in New York. The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with excellent communication skills to work closely with various facilities and supervise a team of Physician Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and physicians. In this role, you will drive the delivery of comprehensive care and rehabilitation for patients with physical disabilities, injuries, and chronic conditions in a nursing home setting.

Advisory Staffing is the sole recruiting company hiring for this position. We only work exclusively and directly with our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Clinical Care : Provide direct care to patients in a nursing home setting 2-3 days per week, including performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and administering interventions.
  • Leadership & Supervision : Oversee a team of PAs and NPs to ensure high-quality care is provided and that treatment plans are properly implemented.
  • Collaboration & Training : Work alongside clinicians to develop effective care protocols, standards of practice, and ensure proper implementation across facilities. Provide education and training to staff.
  • Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain relationships with facility administrators, clinicians, and stakeholders to ensure collaborative, effective care delivery.
  • Administrative Work : Contribute to the development of treatment protocols and strategic initiatives for patient care across multiple locations.

 
Qualifications :

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Active license in New York
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other clinicians, facility staff, and stakeholders.
  • A commitment to staying informed about the latest developments and advancements in the field of PM&R.
  • Ability to travel to different facilities across New York
  • Flexibility to split your time between clinical work and administrative duties.
