The Custodial Event Staff is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness of the venue, including common areas, restrooms, and event spaces, particularly before, during, and after events. They play a vital role in providing a safe and pleasant environment for event attendees.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, and countertops), replenish supplies, and monitor inventory levels
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness throughout the event, including promptly addressing spills or messes.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including break rooms, lobbies, and hallways
• Event setup and take down (tables, chairs, etc)
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.

• Previous experience in custodial or event staff roles is a plus
• Work days and hours may vary depending on events schedule
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Must be able to pass criminal and drug screening processes to meet current contract eligibility requirements that apply.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
