School Year: 2024-2025
Hours: 8:15-3:20 M-F, (Approx. 32.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour, ($975-$1300 per week)

Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School General Education ELA Teacher to join a dynamic team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This onsite position is for a full-time role teaching English Language Arts (ELA) for grades 6-8 at a school near East Hampton, CT. The teacher will work with a supportive school staff to provide high-quality education to students.

Responsibilities:

• Teach General Education ELA to middle school students in grades 6-8.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district standards and objectives.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and ongoing feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• municate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators.
• Participate in school meetings and professional development activities.
• Provide coverage for additional duties as needed, including lunch, recess, arrival, and/or departure duties depending on the teachers schedule.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Education, English, or related field.
• Active Connecticut Teaching Certification (or eligibility).
• Prior experience teaching middle school English Language Arts preferred.
• Strong classroom management and munication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students in a variety of learning environments.
• Must be able to work onsite and maintain a consistent schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:20 PM on school days.
