Grocery Store Meat Manager

Salary: $20 - $24 per hour
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in meat department operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of meat cuts, processing techniques, and quality standards.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to lift more than 40lbs. boxes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Meat Manager in our Brockton location, you will be in charge of:
Quality Control and Freshness: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards for all meat products. Inspect incoming shipments to verify quality, freshness, and compliance with specifications.
Meat Cutting and Processing: Supervise and participate in the cutting, trimming, and preparation of various meat cuts according to customer specifications and company standards.
Merchandising and Presentation: Create attractive and effective product displays that showcase variety, quality, and value.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste.
Team Leadership and Development: Supervise, train, and coach the meat department team to ensure optimal performance.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries with expertise and enthusiasm.
Sales and Profitability: Achieve sales goals and maximize profitability through effective merchandising, pricing, and inventory control.
Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
