About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for People and Culture to play a pivotal role in driving and enhancing all organizational functions related to HR and cultural strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief People and Culture Officer to develop and execute HR strategies that align with the global team's priorities and the organization's needs. This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of global HR practices, with a focus on maximizing organizational effectiveness through excellent people and culture management. The role involves overseeing the strategic development and implementation of HR programs, particularly for country offices, and ensuring that these initiatives are relevant to a diverse, global workforce. The Managing Director will also be responsible for talent management, employee engagement, and operational management, including budget creation and management. Applicants for the Managing Director position must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of HR management experience, with a significant background in global and multi-cultural HR, particularly within African countries. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in strategic HR, change management, and a strong people-first orientation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, the ability to lead and manage organizational change, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Responsibilities also include leading a small team of HR business partners, providing high-level HR counsel, and ensuring the successful delivery of global HR programs.
