Summary
The upcoming retirement of our Founder has created a great opportunity in our community to hire a Head of School at Peachtree Academy. The ideal candidate will serve as the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for upholding the mission and vision of the school while providing strategic leadership and operational management. This role encompasses overseeing a leadership team that ensures academic excellence, spiritual development, faculty management, financial stewardship, and fostering relationships with students, parents, and the broader community. The Head of School must model Christian values and inspire a Christ-centered environment that nurtures students’ academic and spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Leadership and Vision - Carry out the defined vision for the school’s future, aligning with its Christian mission and values.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives, ensuring continuous growth and alignment with educational and spiritual goals.
- Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and respect within the school community.
2.
Academic and Program Oversight - Work with the Dean of Admissions and Principals to oversee curriculum development, ensuring high academic standards and the integration of biblical principles.
- Evaluate and implement instructional programs and co-curricular activities that support students’ intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual development.
- Support faculty and staff in adopting innovative teaching practices and ongoing professional development.

Spiritual Leadership - Serve as a spiritual role model and guide, encouraging faculty, staff, and students in their faith journeys.
- Lead or coordinate chapel services, devotionals, and other spiritual activities.
- Ensure that Christian principles are evident in the school’s educational and extracurricular programs.

Faculty and Staff Management - Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality Christian educators and staff who are State certified in Education. They may also be trained in the designated specialty field that they are assigned to and that aligns with the school’s mission.
- Provide mentorship, supervision, and performance evaluations to support faculty growth and effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional and spiritual development.

Student and Community Engagement - Build strong relationships with students and parents, promoting open communication and a welcoming school environment.
- Serve as a visible and accessible leader at school events, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Engage in community outreach to enhance the school’s reputation and build partnerships.
6.
Administrative and Financial Management - Oversee the school’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Leadership team to develop policies and procedures that support the school’s operation.
- Ensure compliance with Accreditation standards and best practices for private schools.
7.
Development and Fundraising - Work with the marketing and administrative staff to design and execute fundraising strategies to support the school’s mission and growth.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners to secure financial resources and support.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the school’s facilities and resources for future needs.
8.
Board Collaboration - Report to the Board of Directors, providing updates on school operations, achievements, and challenges.
- Work in partnership with the Board to set strategic goals and ensure alignment with the school’s mission.

Our school is a State of Art Private PreK through 12th-grade private school. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools / Advanc-ED and we strive to challenge our students each and every day. Students utilize a state-of-the-art computer lab and library for learning enhancement. Our students compete in a variety of academic events including Math Olympics, Creative Writing, Spelling Bees, Speech Meets, Science Fairs, and over 17 different sports teams. At Peachtree Academy, we expect our students to be well-rounded and encourage them to participate in extra-curricular activities (soccer, baseball, language classes, chess, drama, music, and dance).
