Position Description
The Flight Operations Manager will lead a small team of Flight Operations Specialist and proactively manage the performance of complex government flight operations and flight planning for a dedicated aviation program, creating single support and services provided to clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation, coordination, and facilitation of all aspects of flight and logistical operations for aviation to include, but not restricted to:
Ensure 24/7/365 availability to clients and maintain 100% mission performance.
Resolve operations issues in real time
Manage all subcontractors are performing as required
Monitors operational tasks to ensure workload is distributed efficiently and all tasks are updated accurately.
Manager Schedules, Permits, Crew Transportation and Ground Handling
Manages the teams work schedules, scheduling tasks and training.
Coordinated with other departments to include Trip Planning, Dispatch, Logistics and Financial Operations.
Initiates the distribution documentation to appropriate parties and comply with governmental regulations as needed for the specific trips/requirements.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Former Military preferred
US Citizen with valid passport
Bachelor's degree preferred
Team leadership experience
Aviation experience in operations
Motivated, self-starter
High-level communication skills required
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Work well with team members inside and outside their department
High level of understanding in basic mathematical computation and principles
Must have attention to detail
Ability to travel as needed
Shiftwork, Afterhours, On-Call may be required
