This is a full-time, direct hire position where the Assistant Nurse Manager will be an employee of a reputable health system in Maryland. The Assistant Nurse Manager will work a 12-hour day shift.
The Assistant Nurse Manager Critical Care will work at a 320+ bed short term acute care hospital located in the suburbs of Maryland, just outside of Washington DC. This medical center is dedicated to providing accessible, quality care to patients throughout the community. Offering an array of inpatient and outpatient services, this hospital is known for their offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services including their busy Emergency Department open 24/7, stroke program, and surgical service line. The hospital is rapidly growing, and already home to 1,500 employees, and over 700 medical staff.
Reporting to the Critical Care Nursing Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager Critical Care will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the unit through acting as the department resource, mentoring new-hires and current department staff, coordinating patient and adjusting patient assignments as needed, uphold a positive team-oriented working environment, ensure the unit follows all policy and procedures and regulatory compliance, and continuously cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Located in the suburbs of Maryland, the Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager can easily reside and commute from any of the surrounding suburbs of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC. As a leader of the hospital, the Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager must be a Registered Nurse holding a Maryland RN license (or able to obtain temporary license prior to starting), previous management experience, and a clinical background working in a critical care unit.
