Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and operational readiness of our fleet of buses. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, handling cleaning tasks, conducting routine checks, and providing basic servicing to ensure our buses meet safety and cleanliness standards for drivers and passengers alike. The hours are nights and as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bus Fueling and Checks:
• Fuel buses as needed, ensuring each vehicle is ready for the next route.
• Check essential fluid levels, including engine oil, transmission oil, and water, and refill as necessary.
• Perform visual inspections of tires and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Servicing and Maintenance:
• Perform regular servicing of bus toilets and ensure proper sanitation.
• Review defect sheets and communicate any identified issues to appropriate staff.
• Make necessary updates and changes to the dispatch board as directed.
• Customer and Staff Support:
• Answer phone calls professionally, assisting drivers and other staff as needed.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries regarding bus conditions, schedules, or availability.
• Cleaning and Janitorial Services:
• Wash and clean buses, including both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Sanitize seating, handrails, and high-touch areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for passengers.
• Handle additional janitorial services in the facility as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Hold a Class B license
• Strong communication skills for phone and in-person interactions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
