The Foundation Drill Rig Operator is responsible for understanding all function of the drill rig they are operating, following the OEM Manuals for safety, operations, & maintenance, and Hall Shoring & Foundation Safety Program. The operator is responsible for pre-trip equipment inspections prior to operation, ensure damages or required repairs are documented and reported to site supervisor.

Your day-to-day will look like:

• Operate company drill rig in safe manor and to OEM specifications
• Complete basic maintenance
• Report damage or repairs are reported to site supervisor immediately
• Assist with training and development of new workers
• Maintain and complete daily paperwork provided by site supervisor
• Ensure any unsafe activities or direction that is give, the operator is to stop work and report to site supervisor.
• Ensure proper foundation location is being completed (with help from ground personal).
• Help ensure foundation quality is maintained as per design specifications.
• Comply with all site safety rules.
• Help promote and maintain a safe and fair working culture
• Follow proper hoisting and rigging practices

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

• Must have minimum of 5 years experience in CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) foundation and shoring drilling activities.
• Education: grade 12 with diploma
• Understand and interpret drawings
• Knowledgeable in construction cut off elevations
• Must be able to work in fast paced team environment
• Designations: Valid Drivers License/Ground Disturbance

Technical Skills:

• Understands the means and methods of construction associated with foundation drilling, site utility, underground utility, and construction.
• Understand work sequencing and strategy for schedules.
• Is goal oriented and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to achieve the desired end results.
• Is organized, proactive, plans well and addresses problems promptly.
• Is committed to doing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work.
• Knowledgeable with ground disturbance, ground stabilization along trenches, underground and overhead utilities.
• Operating equipment and have a strong understanding of capabilities.
