Job Title: Cable Assembly Technician
Location: Saugerties, NY
Salary: $17 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Hire, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Summary:
Do you like working with your hands? Do you enjoy using hand soldering equipment and basic hand tools? Join our team as a Cable Assembly Technician in Saugerties, NY, where you will specialize in high-volume, fast termination processes for basic audio and video cable termination.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with soldering or hand tool assembly work.
• Familiarity with inspection and testing procedures.
• Understanding of basic soldering and crimping procedures.
• Ability to read and understand internal procedures and policies.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Team-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, courteous and professional at all levels.
• Mechanical proficiency.
• Strong math, time management, and computer skills.
• Ability to work in a casual clean room environment.
• Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts on cable reelers.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 lbs. with instruction on safe lifting practices.
• Frequently required to walk, sit, and use hands and hand tools.

Cable Assembly Technician Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality products in a timely manner.
• Produce high-quality products within set timeframes.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, performing mechanical inspections and basic continuity testing before submitting work for final approval.
• Demonstrate precision in detail-oriented tasks and accuracy with numbers and part numbers.
• Communicate effectively with the team leader to continually improve assembly line quality.
• Ensure finished products are free of microscopic contamination, residual glue, process slurry, and diamond particles from lapping films.
• Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
