Production Lead

Location : Carrollton, TX, 75006
Pay : $18/hour

Shift : 2ndShift, 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Job Summary:
The Production Group Lead Operator is responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring quality and safety standards, and training production staff. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills to ensure the team meets production goals and maintains a safe, compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management: Plan, implement, and oversee production schedules and workflows to meet production targets.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality audits and tests to ensure products meet established standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines, enforcing company policies.
• Training & Mentoring: Train production staff on equipment, processes, and department policies to ensure consistency and competency.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Issue Resolution: Monitor production performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Work Environment: Keep the workspace safe, clean, and organized for optimal productivity.
• Communication: Provide regular updates on production status and issues to supervisors and team members.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper stock rotation, and coordinate with relevant departments as needed.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a lead or supervisory role.
• Previous experience with production scheduling and quality control is highly valued.

Required Skills:

• Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate team members, with clear and effective communication.
• Quality & Safety Standards Knowledge: In-depth understanding of quality assurance and health and safety regulations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify production issues and implement timely solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Equipment Troubleshooting: Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
• Inventory Management Experience: Knowledge of stock management and rotation practices.
• Organizational Skills: Experience in maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment.

Background Check Requirements:

• No felonies; exceptions may be considered for very old felony
