Job Description
Looking for a professional Draftsperson with the following qualifications:
· A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering or related field.
· Strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience in construction, and specifically the metal cladding industry, is preferred.
What you will do,
The selected candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to:
· Prepare construction shop drawings using AutoCAD.
· Review Architectural, Structural and Steel Fabrication drawings for each project.
· Review internal files, specifications, addenda and other project documents.
· Prepare order cutlists and bills of materials as required for each project.
· Co-ordinate with internal staff (Estimators, Project Managers, Senior Managers) as required.
· Co-ordinate with external contacts (General Contractors, Architects, Engineers) as required.
