Job Title: Accounting Consultant
Hourly Rate: $23.85/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST
Location: 100 N 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 (After you get a hold of things, you will have the option to be home two days a week)
Duration: Strict 6-month contract

Job Description:
The need in a nutshell is for a resource who has experience supporting an Enterprise Financial Institution with an understanding of Regulatory and Compliance measures and good MS Excel skills including an ability to analyze data.

Scope of work:
-This team runs the general ledger and control teams
-The core responsibility is to clear open items/exceptions in wire systems
-There exists multiple legs to this process-reconcile team (managers match script rules) and anything that falls out of
this rule is considered an open item. The reconciliation team is there to insure all open items are clear. In instances
where there is customer impact, the GL control team partners with investigation group to be sure the items are clear
-Example-in general ledger account, the system auto matches data sets, in some instances the criteria is not met and
it falls into an expense account. The team is there to monitor, identify and pass the general entry.

Candidate Qualifications:
-Ability to synthesize data, to look at large scope of data and put together a narrative that can be provided to
leadership
-MS Excel is very important, advanced would be nice but at least intermediary
-Investigations experience-an intimate understanding of how the investigation team operates and supports
-Communication and problem solving skills are very important, someone who has the ability to be comfortable going
through problems without immediate assistance
-Team oriented group but there are instances where it is individuals working on individual tasks
-Former banking experience, will provide the understanding of regulatory requirements
